I’ve used consultants in the past but they haven’t worked out for me or my agency. What makes you different?
I understand that working with consultants who promise the world but don’t deliver can be frustrating. That’s why I always aim to provide tangible value to all the agencies I work with.
For starters, my background is in creative operations. I’ve worked in the industry for over 25 years, starting as a Junior Designer and working up to an Executive Operations Director for one of the largest agencies in the world before becoming a consultant. So, I really get the industry and the unique challenges that agencies face.
Secondly, I don’t use ‘one-size-fits-all’ solutions. My audit service is designed to get to grips with every area of your business, so I can find the true root cause of your challenges and provide tailored solutions.
Thirdly, I stick to what I know best in order to provide real depth of value. I’m an expert in creative operations, so I leave business development, agency proposition, and M&As to other experts. That way, you get real depth and value from my services.
Fourthly, I pride myself on building strong working relationships with my clients and their teams. I’ll talk to your teams in great detail to get to know your agency and how we can improve it for everyone. This hands-on approach is the only way I think I can deliver the results I promise! Plus, I’m always prepared to listen to other people’s ideas, views and opinions - the only thing that really matters is a successful outcome for everyone.
Finally, you’ll never be locked into a long-term program. I only stick around for the time I’m actually needed. My initial call is completely free, and if we’re not the right fit, we can leave it there, no problem. Beyond that, all my services are bespoke to each agency I work with and charged accordingly, as I believe this is the fairest and most cost-effective option for my clients.
I have an internal team, why do I need an external consultant?
It’s the old adage of working ‘in’’ a business rather than ‘on’ it. As a busy agency owner or director, you’re probably up to your eyeballs dealing with the issues that land on your desk every day. When do you actually have the time to step back and take a good look at your agency as a whole?
By working with me, you’ll have access to an expert who knows what it takes to run a successful creative business. But, I also bring the benefit of an unbiased 'bird's-eye view' of your agency. This vantage point gives me the unique opportunity to make recommendations that are objective and have your agency's best interests at heart.
It can also be lonely at the top. Having an experienced ear to use as a confidential sounding board can help you to make the tough decisions that are required to drive your agency forward. As your trusted advisor, I work with you to identify your goals and help you achieve them.
What sort of agencies do you work with?
I’ve worked with agencies of all sizes throughout my career, including digital, graphic design, marketing, and PR firms. As such, I can work with any agency. It’s a common misconception that you need to hire a consultant that’s an expert in your particular niche. I’ve found that, while what they do may be different, most agencies have the same core issues.
Plus, you already have the experts in your team - I see my job as a consultant to speak with them, find out what they need to be able to do their jobs better, and use my expertise in agency operations to help deliver this.

How much do you charge?
Every agency is different, and I work with each one on a bespoke basis. As such, I don’t have a flat fee rate or a selection of pre-determined packages to choose from.
However, depending on your requirements and budgets, we can work out a fee and payment structure that suits you and your goals.
